Spectre: 8 Major Reveals From Sam Smith's Writing's On The Wall Video

7. Lucia Sciarra Isn't In The Best Place When She Meets Bond

In what looks to be an expansion of the short moment in the second trailer where Monica Bellucci's Lucia Sciarra encounters Bond under less than happy terms, we see the Italian walk out of a fancy villa, drink in hand and flanked by some guards. We know from that trailer that these two will soon be neutralised, probably by Bond, and that Lucia's not in the best way. Could the drink and incredibly solid expression be both an antidote to a feeling of impending death? Or is it simply in the aftermath of that important funeral? Sciarra hasn't been seen in the film outside of the cemetery scene and here, which, while not necessarily meaning she's going to be killed, suggests that Bellucci's part is the smaller of the film's two Bond girls. The fact that James is absent from the sequence's build up certainly furthers the thinking that this is their first proper meeting (outside of both independently being at the funeral), and as it's her who ultimately sends him to the S.P.E.C.T.R.E. meeting, Lucia is likely just a step on Bond's journey to find out what this secret organisation is.
