Spectre: 8 Things Sam Mendes Doesn't Want You To Know

5. Bond Falls In Love Again

The people behind Spectre are, it seems, at least trying to do some different things with the Bond girls this time around. First of all, there's Monica Belluci's Lucia Sciarra, who - with Belluci being aged 50 - qualifies as the oldest Bond 'girl' of all time.

There's also said to be a character named Irma Bunt appearing in the film, another Bond lady who it's said will have a crush not on Bond, but on Bond's latest female acquaintance. As the first 'lesbian Bond girl', Bunt's true object of desire is apparently going to be Lea Seydoux's Madeleinne Swann, who - according to the leaks - will also be more than just a fling for Bond.

In the words of Columbia co-president Hannah Minghella, "[Bond] appears to fall in love again for the first time since Vesper" in Spectre. By adding this extra romantic ingredient, it would appear Sam Mendes is continuing Spectre in a similar vein to Skyfall, by humanising his less-than-emotionally open main character.
