Spectre Trailer Breakdown - Everything You Missed And Need To See
Mr. White's Hideout
As with the Moneypenny scene, the new trailer also offers an expanded look at the scene from the first teaser where Bond hunts down Quantum Of Solace's villain (don't worry, most people don't remember it either), Mr. White. The establishing shot doesn't give much away, but does remind you that master cinematographer Roger Deakins is in charge of the camera and will be delivering more of Skyfall's beautiful landscape shots. Also notice that Bond hasn't taken his Aston Martin to this cold environment. His hut may be quite literally in the middle of nowhere, but Mr. White's not disconnected from the world - he's got an impressive set-up of monitors showing him various news sources. Is the key Quantum player keeping tabs on Spectre's crimes? And if so, why? The link between the two organisations is going to be part of the film (why else bring back Jesper Christensen), but so far it's not clear what the relationship is. "He's everywhere," Mr. White growls when James ask him about someone. Depending on when this places in the movie (we know from the previous trailer Bond's in possession of the Spectre ring, glimpsed again here, and has been at a "meeting", but he's also not too aware of the bigger picture), that could be any number of people. Probably Blofeld though (or whatever he's going by now). Mr. White pops up again later, allegedly "protecting someone". Once again, this could easily be tricksy trailer editing, but the implication here is that it's Léa Seydoux's Madeleine Swann (which would make sense given the White's location).
