Spectre Trailer Breakdown - Everything You Missed And Need To See
Lucia Sciarra
Monica Belluci is playing Lucia Sciarra (where's the pun in that?), a Bond girl who could wind up being just about anything - femme fatal, damsel in distress, red herring. What we learn in the new trailer is that she's going to be a key part in setting up the Rome set piece (she tells him Bond "should go there", presumably the metting), knows something about Spectre ("You're crossing over to a place that has no mercy") and (spoiler) will wind up getting intimate with Bond. The sexual tension in these few shots is unreal (and even moreso in the bits of the scene seen in other TV spots). This scene will no doubt spark those same debates from Skyfall about Bond's forceful nature, but at this self-aware point in the franchise that's kinda the point. Sciarra pops up again later in the trailer, in a much less seductive/confident manner. This looks to be a botched execution - the background gunmen are about to shoot her, but in the final frames are shot themselves and begin to fall, suggesting Bond (it has to be Bond) has saved her at the last minute. Given how focal the film's other Bond girl is in the trailer, however, don't expect that luck to hold out until the end credits.
