Spider-Man: 13 Film Moments That Don't Make ANY Sense

7. The Butler In Spider-Man 3

Okay. So many things don't make sense in Spider-Man 3, it's very likely that the writers were taking plothole steroids. However, the plothole that seemed to annoy viewers the most is Harry Osborn's confrontation with his butler. Harry Osborn is obsessed with Spider-Man, believing the superhero is responsible for killing his father, Norman.

At the end of the film, his butler tells Harry that Norman accidentally killed himself.

Why did the butler wait years to reveal this nugget of information? Harry's already gone insane, become a supervillain, suffered amnesia and been left scarred after a bomb blew up in his face. Did the butler think telling him the truth would have been worse than all of that?

Also, if Harry wanted to ruin Peter Parker's life, why didn't he publicly announce that Spider-Man is a killer and then reveal his identity to the world? We had to wait for Spider-Man: Far From Home before we got to see a supervillain smart enough to do that.
