Spider-Man: 15 Actors Who Almost Played Major Roles
11. Lance Henriksen
While he may be best knowing for playing android Bishop and various roles as the Weyland family from the "Alien" universe, Lance Henriksen could have taken to the skies as Green Goblin in James Cameron's Spider-Man from around 1996.
Cameron's "scriptment" started the rounds in 1993 and imagined Spider-Man once again teamed up the director and Henriksen from their times on The Terminator and Aliens. Henriksen certainly has the bone structure to pull off the gaunt Norman Osborn, but the film sadly never got past the first phase. It would do away with the origin story and throw all our actors into the midst of grown-up Peter's struggles.
Henriksen himself is a great actor, who is wildly underrated, Lance would have taken on a central role in Cameron's adaptation of 'The Night Gwen Stacy Died' storyline - we all know how that ends. In a pre-Dafoe world of Osborn, it is hard not to imagine how wonderful Henriksen would have been in the part. However, he wasn't the only Cameron regular tipped to appear.
