Ned Leeds is, without a doubt, one of the best aspects of the last two Spider-Man movies. His unapologetically nerdy bond with Peter Parker is one of the MCU's most endearing friendships and Jacob Batalon's effortless ability to make audiences laugh is second-to-none.
However, according to one rumour, Spidey's third offering could see a rather, well, dark (and comic-accurate) fate befall Peter's best friend. Yes, as We Got This Covered theorisied, there's a chance that Ned might end up becoming the treacherous Hobgoblin in Spider-Man 3.
Sure, that's the character's future in the comics, but could we really see it happening on-screen?
If it does, it will certainly change things forever.
