11. Chameleon Will Be The Big Bad

The Rumour

Thanks to one NOTORIOUS leaker (Mikey Sutton), we have one possible plot outline for Spider-Man 3 that includes a surprising villain - Chameleon.

He says that the film's preoccupation with ideas of identity will bring the faceless, identity-stealing bad guy into play as Peter Parker struggles with the fallout of his own secret identity being blow wide open.

Response

It would certainly make sense, but there's also the possibility that this is no more than a recycled rumour from Spider-Man: Far From Home, which tried to explain Numan Acar's casting. Saying that, though, Chameleon IS one of the biggest missing villains from Spider-Man movies and Marvel have expressed a desire to explore new villains in their movies.

Sutton's track record is best considered patchy - at absolute best - but he has apparently called SOME things, so maybe a touch of salt and a side salad of intrigue? It just seems a little strange that he'd appear out of absolutely nowhere with other villains more obviously seeded.
