12. Ned Leeds Will Become Hobgoblin

Ned Leeds might well be a loveable, slightly bumbling good guy in the MCU's Spider-Man movies, but he has a dark path ahead, according to one rumour. Citing one dependable source, WGTC say that Spider-Man 3's plot will set Ned on the path to following his comic book counterpart and becoming villain Hobgoblin.

Regardless of the providence of the rumour - and let's be honest, certain sites have a scattergun approach to rumours these days - the idea of Ned becoming a bad guy is just ludicrous. He's not that type of character and while some might say that that would sell the switch better, having absolutely no seeding at all means it would also come across as a total ass-pull.

Does anyone out there REALLY want Ned to become Hobgoblin? You know, apart from Jacob Batalon, who has come out publicly to say he'd love the character to go in that direction... He doesn't count though.
