9. Peter Will Continue To Wear Iron Spider-Man Suits

The Rumour

Despite Tony Stark having been permanently retired in Avengers: Endgame, his legacy will live on. Not only will he appear in Black Widow, but one rumour suggests that his work in developing Spider-Man's suits will continue to lead what Peter Parker wears in Spider-Man 3.

The suggestion is not only that Peter's suit will feature Stark tech - and his own AI, interestingly - but that he will be bumped up to be the MCU's new Iron Man, as was teased in Far From Home.

Response

The only issue here is that Peter's arc concerning self-discovery at the end of Far From Home saw him developing his own suit as a means to reclaim his identity. Obviously, he could still do that using Stark wardrobe development technology (that guy had WAY too much time on his hands), but having him make his own suits more traditionally would have fit better with that aspect of the story.

It does make sense that he'd be transitioned into a more leading role in the MCU though, given Spider-Man's brand power and - even more crucially - his selling power with the key younger demographic. More visibility means more merch sales and Spidey merch is BIG business.
