Spider-Man 3 Theory: We Already Know The Villains...
3. How Venom Could Play A Part
The second solution is as elegant as it is exciting. Remember what Eddie Brock's profession is? He's an investigative journalist. Sure, he's very principled, but what if he's drawn to J Jonah Jameson's new media empire? What if Jameson unwittingly brings one of Osborn's key weapons against Spider-Man (and a potential ally for him in the end) by hiring Brock based on his impressive journalistic experience?
If Osborn was to then discover Brock's secret, he could use Quentin Beck's lies to convince him (and Venom) that Spider-Man is a fair game target. Remember, Brock vowed to only deal with bad guys at the end of the Venom solo movie, confirming him as a vigilante anti-hero, but in everyone's perception now, Peter Parker IS a bad guy.
This could be the perfect opportunity for us to see Venom meet Spider-Man within the MCU. It has been teased already, after all.
So the big questions that remains are where we go from there and how Peter gets out of this seemingly catastrophic situation. How about history repeating itself again?
