But back to Miles and Earth 42. Because the lovely arachnid go home machine tapped into Miles' spider DNA, it has sent him back to the wrong dimension. With there being no Spider-Man, things have not gone particularly well. However, the existence of this world is further proof that Miguel's logic doesn't particularly stand up. The world has survived despite what should be a canon event in a Spider-Man being created not actually happening.

Instead of Miles becoming Spidey in this universe, he's become the Prowler. It's a dark mirror image that we can expect the sequel to dive heavily into, and it leaves us with a lot of questions. Was the Miles of this world originally destined to become Spider-Man, or was it someone else? Will Miles and Aaron back their alt-universe captive against the Spider-Society, or will Miles have to fight to get out? It's a fascinating place to end things, especially with Miguel O'Hara and Gwen Stacy's respective Spidey teams in hot pursuit.
