Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Review - 8 Ups & 2 Downs

2. The Incredible Music & Score

Across the Spider-Verse
Sony

Much like its predecessor, this movie has absolutely blistering sound to accompany its jaw-dropping visual package. On one hand the Metro Boomin-produced soundtrack contains a glut of quality new tracks from the likes of A$AP Rocky, 21 Savage, 2 Chainz, Roisee, Nas, and Lil Wayne among others.

On the other, returning composer Daniel Pemberton also delivers an astonishingly operatic and immersive original score, rustling up memorable themes for not only the central characters but also each individual universe we visit throughout the movie.

While there's not quite anything in this film which can match the goosebump-raising thrills of the original's iconic invocation of "What's Up Danger" during Miles' leap of faith, it's still a sonically awesome movie from top to bottom.
