1. It's One Of The Best Superhero Movies EVER

It isn't mere release day hyperbole to suggest that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse isn't just a great superhero movie - it's one of the greatest of all time, and by extension also an all-timer sequel, superhero or otherwise.

This has everything a Spider-Man fan could possibly want - humour, heart, mind-bogglingly creative visuals, sublime action sequences, and fan service out the wazoo.

While there have been some truly spectacular superhero movies over the years, no list of the classics will be complete without mentioning this bar-raising effort.

And now, we just have to wait and see if the filmmakers can outdo themselves one more time for Beyond the Spider-Verse. Here's hoping they stick the landing and deliver one of the greatest movie trilogies of all time.
