2. The Ending Will Be Divisive

No spoilers here, but if you've been paying any attention at all to the production of Across the Spider-Verse, you'll surely be aware that it's the first part of a two-part story, and the title even originally had a "Part One" suffix attached to the end.

To that end, it's not a spoiler to say that Across the Spider-Verse concludes on one hell of a cliffhanger, which while absolutely compelling and even provocative, is also destined to frustrate many - especially those who don't know a "to be continued..." banner is awaiting them.

In the very least the third film, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is currently due to release next March, so fans don't have too long to wait to see the story resolved.

Until then, though, those who like complete, closed-off stories may find themselves a little irked by how this entry wraps up - or rather, doesn't.
