1. Some May Find It Visually Overwhelming

This is an absolute visual feast of a movie, but even some critics who've thrown praise at it will concede that the overall sensory experience may simply be too overwhelming at times for some viewers.

Across the Spider-Verse is in many ways a ground-breaking movie from a visual perspective, but it's also occasionally close to being a bit too busy for its own good.

If you thought Everything Everywhere All At Once was disorientating at times, Across the Spider-Verse has it firmly licked.

When you meld the mile-a-second visuals with the head-spinning multiverse narrative, this is a movie that scarcely gives the audience time to catch up.

And for the most part it works, but there are certainly a few moments where the sheer muchness of it all threatens to become, well, too much.

These issues aside, though, here's what it gets so right...
