Spider-Man: Far From Home - 8 Fan Demands That Must Happen

2. A Shrewd Use Of Spidey's Villains

Spider-Man has the best selection of villains in the entire Marvel Universe, but possessing such a compelling cast of enemies hasn't always worked to the films' benefit. Spider-Man 3 suffered from the introduction of no less than three separate villains, and by the time the second entry in the rebooted Amazing Spider-Man saga came around, it appeared as though Sony were making the same mistake.

Marc Webb's second film sported three separate baddies, including Rhino, Electro and the Green Goblin, and Far From Home's cast of enemies seems to grow by the day. Mysterio looks set to lead the film's villainous ensemble, with the character flanked by Chameleon on one side and Vulture on the other. However, there are other villains that look set to appear as well, including the Scorpion, Hydro-Man, and even the Molten Man too. That's six bad-guys (a significant number for Spider-Man in particular), and given how keen Sony were to get the Sinister Six off the ground back during their first Spidey reboot, one could be forgiven for thinking the same mistakes are about to be repeated.

Skeptical Spidey fans should bear in mind that a good Spider-Man film and one with a large cast of villains aren't mutually exclusive; some of the best Spider-Man stories have utilised the wall-crawler's rogues' gallery to the fullest, and the Sinister Six are one of the most iconic supervillain teams of all time.

That being said, one thing every fan should be able to agree on is that Far From Home should use Spidey's villains in an intelligent manner, and not crowbar them into a story that doesn't need them in the first place.
