Spider-Man: Far From Home - EVERY Major Rumour Ranked Worst To Best

11. Another Avenger Will Be Involved

Rumour:

After Tony Stark was a key part of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Far From Home will include at least one OTHER Avenger in some capacity. Names mooted have included Black Widow and Doctor Strange.

Reaction:

It makes sense that we'll get MCU cameos after Stark worked out so well, though you'd have to think Sony would try and avoid them becoming too much of a crutch (if they're smart, anyway). But it won't be Doctor Strange, according to Kevin Feige at least who addressed that part of the rumour with /Film:

"No ... I could be coy about it but no ... I don’t wanna get people excited. But Benedict [Cumberbatch] and [Tom] Holland have liked the idea of working together."

With Mysterio heavily rumoured, Strange would have fit, but it's clearly not happening. That doesn't mean another hero wouldn't appear though, and in the wake of Avengers 4, you'd have to think Peter will have stronger links with whoever survives Thanos' conquest. Nerdist's Eric Diaz has suggested Bruce Banner as a clever choice, given his and Parker's love of science, and it wouldn't be entirely unlikely.
