4. One Of The Reveals Is A Little... Meh

Now, it's difficult to go into this one in too much detail without straying into spoilerific territory, but let's just say that - as predicted - the events of the plot do not exactly go as they appear to be set up by the marketing. There's something major going on that's not reflected in there, which ties everything back to a whole series of events in earlier MCU movies.

The approach to knitting that all together is very admirable, because it feels like another of those genius Marvel Studios moments where we've had evidence all along of something without ever realising there was even going to be a pay-off. But there's just something rather uninspiring in the way the script offers justification for a whole set of motivations.

It's rather like the scriptwriters thought that the way the twist was unpicked was so genius that the actual substance of what was being untwisted didn't matter as much. And that's not really true, sadly.
