3. Spidey's New Suit Pays Homage To His First

When Peter's new suit for Spider-Man: Far From Home was unveiled (read: leaked) to the public last year, most seemed to compare it to the Superior Spider-Man outfit used by Otto Octavius when he became Peter Parker in the comics. While it certainly shares its red and black colour scheme, another comparison may be more apt, especially judging from what we've seen in this teaser.
When Steve Ditko first conceived of Spider-Man's costume, he did so with dark shades. By the time he departed the book the web-slinger would don a more familiar bright red and blue combo, but originally, it was much more red and black then scarlet and blue.

Far From Home, in a way, references this iconic look. Factor in the return of Spidey's famous web wings, as well as those classic eyes, and it's clear to see that this new costume is as Ditko as it can get.
