The first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, both the first MCU movie to come after Avengers: Endgame and the one to launch Phase 4, has at last swung online.

It's been a lengthy wait, given the trailer has seemingly been ready since early December (when it debuted at an event in Brazil), but, after some Instagram kerfuffle, it's here and largely worth the wait.

The teaser does a nice job of setting up the story, with Peter and pals taking a summer trip to Europe, but shockingly all doesn't go according to plan and the teenage superhero is forced to Spidey-suit up against some new bad guys. It's an effective tease that doesn't spoil too much, but does give lots of intriguing details and hints to pore over.

18. Yep, It's Totally Ignoring Infinity War & Endgame

When Spider-Man: Far From Home was announced - and more pertinently, confirmed to come AFTER Avengers 4 - it was bound to create something of a marketing headache. With Avengers: Endgame being promoted around the same time as Far From Home - their release dates are just a couple of months apart - how would one pretend Spidey is gone and the other have him alive?

Well, quite simply, they choose to ignore it here. Spider-Man is very much alive and well, with zero references to the fact he was dead not all that long ago. It poses some interesting questions, but since we know Spider-Man is coming back in Endgame, it's probably the only way it could be done here.

Plus, of course, this is a Sony production rather than a Marvel one, so they're not beholden to keeping any secrets, but simply promoting their movies as best as possible. And to do that, they need Spider-Man front and centre.
