Of course, we know that Spider-Man does suit up while abroad, and the international trailer reveals just how it gets to him. When he's forced to open up his case as he goes through airport security, the suit is there on top, with a note from May saying 'You almost forgot this!!'

It works well as part of the gag - the Spidey suit is fine, a banana apparently not - and adds another nice layer to the relationship between not just May and Peter, but also May and Spider-Man, although he doesn't seem to wear it still once in Europe.
