Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer Breakdown - 18 Things You Need To See
10. Peter Meets Nick Fury
The part of the movie where it stops being Peter's summer vacation and instead Spider-Man's work, Nick Fury pops up to give him a mission. "Nice to finally meet you," Fury says, to which Peter replies: "You're Nick Fury."
The mix of surprise on Peter's face, couple with his correct statement as to who the person in front of him is, tells us that Peter and Fury have never met before. What that further means, then, is they go through the whole of Avengers: Endgame without bumping into each other. Given that film is supposed to include a scene featuring just about everyone, it means one of them - most likely Fury - isn't a part of it.
Fury then recruits Spider-Man into working for whatever organisation it is he's involved in at this point (it could even just be his own operation), which means hijacking their summer vacation so that Peter can go up against the new villains.
The alt-theory to this is that it isn't Fury at all, but rather Chameleon, the master of disguise previously reported to be in the movie. There's not a LOT to base that idea on just yet, but it's still an intriguing one.
