Spider-Man: Far From Home - What The Title Means

5. It's Designed To Distinguish It From The Sony Spiderverse

With Homecoming, the "Home" element was obviously partly designed to reflect the fact that Marvel had managed to negotiate a deal to bring one of their prime properties "home" where he belonged.

it worked from a marketing point of view - feeding into the ceremony of the release - and a similar thing could be true of Far From Home. Given that Sony are ploughing on with their own Spiderverse (curiously without Spidey for now), this title could be reassurance to MCU fans that this Spider-Man is still completely separate from what they're doing.

In that respect, "Home" is where the rights lay - Sony. It's a simple suggestion, but it's definitely in there to some degree.
