Spider-Man: Far From Home - What The Title Means

4. Spidey Goes Abroad

Could it just be a matter of geography?

Back in April, just before Avengers: Infinity War was released, Kevin Feige was asked a lot of questions about the future of the MCU, including this sequel and he revealed a change of setting for Spidey:

“We start filming early July. We film in London. We shot first film in Atlanta. And we shoot a lot of films in London but there’s another reason we’re shooting in London which is, yes, Spidey, of course, will spend some time in New York, but he’ll spend some time in other parts of the globe.”

So, Peter's going globe-trotting. This presumably will be played in Peter's world as some sort of school trip (since he's still a kid who can't just go to London for a laugh on his own), but inevitably it will also be the key to the revelation of a new villain. And if the rumours about Mysterio are true, we could be looking at this being where Peter comes into contact with him.

And London is pretty far from New York, to be fair.
