Spider-Man: Homecoming - 10 Things We Want To See In The Trailer

5. Spidey's Trademark Humour

For all their flaws (and there truly were many), one of the things The Amazing Spider-Man films should be praised for is Andrew Garfield's depiction of the titular character. Garfield totally encapsulated the dry wit and sarcastic humour for which Spider-Man is so well known, throwing out hilarious line after hilarious line while battling everything from super villains to petty criminals.

We saw a glimpse of Tom Holland's version of this in Captain America: Civil War. Holland's Spider-Man, being younger, is more founded on naive sarcasm than confident wit, but this makes sense given his age. It still captures the essence of the character perfectly.

So let's see more of it. Proof that Marvel intends to incorporate this important character trait in spades would be massively encouraging, and would get fans hyped for the film's release. A great place to show it off would be during Spidey's inevitable dabbling in local crime fighting.

Perhaps he accidentally webs someone in the face and rather than brazenly gloats about it, he admits that he genuinely has no idea what he just did, or that he totally didn't mean to do it. Whatever the specifics, make sure the trailer is funny.
