6. The Plot Relies On A Lot Of Convenience

Granted that this is true of a lot of superhero movies and blockbusters in general, but didn't a lot of Homecoming's plot points revolve around Peter being in the right place at the right time?

Firstly, the bank robbery with the Avengers-themed thieves conveniently happened mere feet away from where Peter's chilling out, then there's the explosion taking place in the distance while Peter is hanging out at Liz's party, and of course, Peter is eventually saved by Iron Man at just the right moment.

Sure, the latter is at least relatively plausible, as Stark could certainly track the Spidey suit given the insane sophistication of its technology, but these moments combine to make the film feel a little lazy when it comes to connecting the dots. Things just happen because they do, which isn't tremendously satisfying to watch.
