Spider-Man: Homecoming - 12 Biggest Questions It Leaves Unanswered

9. How Big A Role Will Donald Glover Have (And What About His Nephew)?

Although there was a lot of hype surrounding Donald Glover's role in the film - equal parts the mystery around it, his previous links to Spider-Man, and the simple fact he's awesome - he's not actually in the film all that much. Playing a relatively low-level criminal by the name of Aaron Davis, he does star in one of the film's best scenes, but is otherwise not a big part of the movie.

Davis is a character from the comics, with one of his aliases (as referenced in the film) being the Prowler. He does become something of an ally to Spider-Man, which we get a taste of here, so could Glover come back in the sequel with an expanded role? He's a big name and extremely talented actor, so Marvel would be wise to lock him in for future appearances.

Even bigger than Davis, though, is his "nephew". That is none other than Miles Morales, a relatively new version of Spider-Man (he was introduced back in 2011) who became a firm fan-favourite. Kevin Feige has confirmed he does exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so could we see him co-exist alongside Peter's Spidey, or at least have Miles appear and sow the seeds for way down the line?
