5. Was That A Take On The Iron Spider Suit?

Although the suit Spider-Man has in both Civil War and this movie is pretty awesome, and really harks back to the classic design of the character, there is another version of the Spidey suit now in the MCU (and not just the homemade one Peter later dons).

When bringing him into the Avengers, Tony Stark has a new suit for Peter, which features a red and gold design. While it's not given a name, and is ultimately rejected by Peter anyway, it does look a lot like a take on the Iron Spider suit that Stark gives Peter in the comics.

Made by Stark and using Iron Man colours, it plays more like an Iron Man suit in some regards, with even more tech than the one we see in the movie, most notably the mechanical spider arms (also known as waldoes) which could be used for seeing round corners and manipulating objects. It's actually used in Civil War, and Peter gives it up after switching allegiance.

Obviously that's played out differently in the MCU, but the design of this suit is surely at least a nod towards the Iron Spider, so could we be seeing that - waldoes and all - in the future?
