Pre-release hype had suggested that Homecoming would feature an Earth-shattering post-credits scene that would change the very foundation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As it turned out, the second one was yet another PSA from Captain America, who extolled the virtues of patience in one of the MCU's finest troll jobs yet.

Cap said, "Hi, I'm Captain America. I'm here to talk to you about one of the most valuable traits a soldier or student can have - patience. Sometimes patience is the key to victory, sometimes it leads to very little and it seems like it's not worth it...and you wonder why you waited so long for something so disappointing", before turning and asking his producer, "How many more of these?"

If you thought things couldn't get anymore audience-baiting than Howard the Duck's cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy, you were wrong. In its own way, this was a classic post-credits scene, just not how most fans had hoped or expected.
