Spider-Man: Homecoming - 26 New Things We Just Learned
10. The Known Easter Eggs
As the trailers have already established, there will be lots of Easter Eggs in Homecoming. This is not a surprise, given that it's an MCU movie, but it's quite surprising how many of the references are already known (via Slashfilm).
As well as the literary references for Zendaya's Michelle, we know of several Star Wars Easter Eggs in Peter's bedroom, but it turns out his ringtone is also the Imperial March that greets Darth Vader in Lucas' iconic sci-fi.
There's also a chase sequence inspired by Ferris Bueller that sees Peter Parker chasing Vulture’s goons through a suburban neighborhood and avoiding obstacles (like the pool seen in the trailer).
The Staten Island Ferry, which had a car Easter Egg pointing to Vulture's first appearance also has advertisement posters for the Battle of New York Memorial Museum and Stark Expo 2018 in Flushing Meadows. And Tony Stark also appears in Peter's high school in a mural alongside Galileo and Einstein. I wonder who funded that...
Apparently, the Department of Damage Control will also be filled with MCU Easter eggs - presumably things recovered from past events.
