After Spider-Man has done his bit for Tony in Germany, we see Stark and Happy Hogan dropping the youngster off at his home in Queens, with Parker asking enthusiastically when his next mission will be.

Stark's response - "why can't you just be a friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man" - of course references one of Spidey's most famous catch-phrases, as well as Peter David's 24 issue run of comics from 2005.

Like the movie, that run included appearances by the Vulture, the portrayal of Spider-Man as a figure "beside the law" and a storyline involving his class-mates trapped on a school trip by a villain.
