5. He's A Founding Member Of The Sinister Six
The next huge impact The Vulture had on Spider-Man was being a founding member of the Sinister Six. This team of villains has had many different iterations over the years, and many of them have included Toomes.
The Sinister Six first gathered in the pages of 1964's Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1. The book features a massive cast of characters, and of course ends with Spider-Man defeating all of his foes. The Vulture was the character who announced to Spider-Man that this new team existed.
The Vulture was set to appear in an Amazing Spider-Man spinoff Sinister Six film with Drew Goddard as director - as played by Colm Feore allegedly - but the Amazing Spider-Man 2's muted success and the subsequent deal with Marvel has since killed it. For now at least.
