Spider-Man Homecoming: 8 Reasons Why It's Basically Iron Man 4

5. Iron Man Saves The Day As Much As Spider-Man

There's no denying that our latest Peter Parker incarnation is a hero come the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming. A lesser man would have left Adrian Toomes to burn.

But who's the real hero of this movie?

There's a case to argue that it's Iron Man. Tony Stark did, after all, take a young orphan under his wing, give him a sense of purpose and steer him on a path towards heroism. He's like Yoda and Uncle Ben rolled into one.

And let's not forget, Stark swoops in to save Spidey's ass after the Vulture leaves him for dead in the river - albeit via remote technology - plus how many lives does he save during the Staten Island Ferry scene?

That isn't to say Spider-Man doesn't pull his weight, with contributions such as a dramatic Washington Monument rescue headlining a superhero CV in progress, but it's fair to claim Iron Man saves the day just as much in Homecoming.
