Spider-Man: Homecoming - Every Character Ranked Worst To Best
13. Mr Harrington
Martin Starr's inclusion on the Homecoming cast looked like little more than stunt-casting as a nod to writer John Daly's time working on Freaks And Geeks, but his hilarious, almost fatalistic academic Decathlon coach Mr Harrington was a great little side character.
He didn't really add a great deal to the plot in real terms, but Starr's particular blend of awkward, geeky comedy and a defeated teacher vibe (perfectly crowned by the mysterious revelation that he may have overseen the death of a child on a school trip at some point) is a nice touch.
It's the kind of small, valuable performance that helps feel worlds like this feel truly lived in, and the idea of him returning for a sequel is wholly welcome, which is all you can really ask of him.
