Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer 2: 17 Easter Eggs & References

1. The Suit

Spider-Man's techno-augmented suit is basically the MCU's version of the Iron Spider Suit, which Tony Stark gave Spider-Man in the comics during Civil War and which included lots of add-ons - some of which he didn't know about.

It might not be golden and red with bionic additional "arms", but the sentiment is the same.

There's also something in the exchanges between Tony and Peter about the suit (after the ferry sequence) that calls back to Iron Man 3, which basically ends with Tony learning that he is more than his suit, so when he says...

"If you're nothing without that suit then you shouldn't have it".

It's wisdom he's earned, which he hadn't when Cap challenged him in The Avengers with his "big man in a suit of armor, take that off and what are you?" line. It's like this is Tony's "the importance of wearing a suit" arc.
