First glimpsed in the teaser for the trailer (because that's a thing nowadays), Spider-Man gets his wings in this movie, courtesy of his ol' buddy Tony Stark.

While they may be quite divisive, there's a clear practical use for them here. With Spidey being atop Washington Monument, there aren't other buildings in the vicinity to swing from, and the use of flight certainly helps in this regard - and could come in handy against Vulture too.

It's also worth noting the police presence here. The police being against Spidey is a long running part of the character, and once again he finds himself on the wrong side of law enforcement here.
