Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse - Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
11. Aaron Davis/Prowler
While his relationship with Miles isn't quite as developed as Jefferson's, the fact remains that Aaron Davis plays an instrumental part in his nephew's rise as Spider-Man.
Miles clearly looks up to Aaron, which makes it that much more painful when Miles ultimately discovers that his uncle/street art mentor is actually the villain known as the Prowler who's been trying to take him out for much of the film. And the regret felt by Aaron when he discovers the new Spider-Man's identity is equally as palpable.
What's more is that even before all the cards are laid on the table, this dynamic provides some great instances of dramatic irony. Again, not on the same level as the Miles/Jefferson dynamic, but definitely in that ballpark.
Ultimately, what makes Prowler such an effective player in Miles' origin as Spidey is that the film doesn't shy away from addressing the harsh reality that sometimes the people you look up to aren't always who they seem to be.
