Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse - Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

8. Stan Lee

Stan Lee's cameo in Into the Spider-Verse is quite possibly the best cameo he's ever made in a Marvel film, which is certainly saying something, seeing as how he's done nearly 40 of them.

Even before Lee's tragic passing earlier this year, Into the Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller made it a point to make sure the film's Stan Lee cameo felt as special as possible, which certainly shows in the final cut.

It's hard to articulate just how touching it is to see Lee essentially passing the torch to the Spider-Man of a new generation in Miles Morales. Moreover, Lee's line of "The suit always fits... eventually" is not only an incredibly significant moment in Miles' origin as Spidey, but also representative of the movie's big message of "anyone can wear the mask."

The fact of the matter is that there will never be another figure in comics as influential or universally beloved as Stan Lee.

Getting to see him immortalized in what is arguably the best-ever movie featuring what is almost certainly his greatest co-creation is extraordinary in a way that transcends the film itself.
