We can now all finally freely discuss the worst-kept secret in Hollywood, that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield indeed have prominent roles in No Way Home as their respective iterations of Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

In one of the film's most affecting heart-to-hearts, Maguire's Peter talks to Garfield's about their personal lives, and with the latter clearly still grief-stricken over Gwen Stacy's (Emma Stone) demise, he comments that he's not in a relationship and figures it's not a viable option for someone in their line of work.

But Maguire's Peter retorts that he and MJ "made it work" despite the obvious challenges. This seems to confirm the two are now married, but it invites the more curious question - do they have kids?

In various comic book iterations Peter has fathered many children, and even accepting the obvious dangers that a superhero's life presents, it'd certainly be a fittingly poignant happy ending for Peter and MJ after going through so much turmoil in the Raimi movies.

Ultimately it doesn't matter if they have kids or not - hell, maybe they decided they didn't want them - but the fact that Peter didn't confirm either way will surely torture fans and especially the "shippers" forever more.
