Spider-Man: No Way Home: 24 WTF Moments

1. That Weird Avi Arad Credits Tribute

And yet the film perhaps saves its very weirdest moment for last, with a peculiar end credits tribute to Marvel mega-producer Avi Arad, who has served as producer or executive producer on countless superhero movies over the last 20 years, including every single Spider-Man film.

The credit appears in a larger font size than the regular credit text surrounding it and refers to Arad as a "true believer," basically fawning over the admittedly undeniable role he has played in helping popularise superhero movies.

Arad has nevertheless been a majorly contentious figure for years though, credited with forcing Venom into Spider-Man 3 against Sam Raimi's wishes, getting Spider-Man 4 cancelled in favour of The Amazing Spider-Man, and basically meddling to ensure business comes first over quality storytelling.

It's pretty safe to assume that his bizarre credit in No Way Home was contractually obligated because it sticks out like the sorest of thumbs, no matter the contributions Arad has made to superhero cinema in years past.
