Adrian Toomes was one of the Phase Three villains in the MCU that helped put to rest the noise about the larger franchise rarely having good antagonists. He was screwed over and dumped into debt by Tony Stark, and had to go criminal in a very unique way to survive and provide for his family.

This brought him face to face with Spider-Man, who it didn’t take him long to figure out was Peter Parker. The Vulture was a fantastic villain, he was intimidating, and thanks to the alien tech and his cutthroat attitude, was a real threat to Spider-Man.

Should Doctor Octopus proceed to put together a team of villains, there could be any number of reasons for each potential member to join. In the case of Toomes, he would surely jump at the chance to get involved if for no other reason than to bring Spider-Man into a world of hurt.

Toomes was ultimately incarcerated by the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, however Michael Keaton has been confirmed to be reprising his role in Sony’s Morbius. Could he be the one to finally bridge the gap between the MCU and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe with an appearance in No Way Home in addition to coming face to face with a vampire?
