Spider-Man: No Way Home - Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

12. Happy Hogan

Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan was brilliant in how he arrived just in the nick of time to buy Peter some time as the authorities circled in on Spider-Man while he nursed the dead body of Aunt May.

Away from that, though, Happy felt a little tacked on here, with his role being that of the desperate jilted lover who was pestering May ad nauseam. At least in his previous appearances alongside May and Peter he's been there as a shoulder to lean on, a mentor to seek advice from and someone to share collective grief with. Here, his role in the first half of No Way Home was somewhat grating.

The final exchange between Peter and Happy was a poignant, welcome one, but that graveside chat struggled to make up for the first act use of Hogan.
