The lethal game hunter seemingly shoots Spider-Man dead, before taking his place in a replica costume in an attempt to prove that he would make a superior crimefighter. Hes brutally efficient in the role, but lacks the humanity of Peter Parker, an integral part of Spidey. It later transpires that our hero was only hit with a tranquiliser dart, so hes able to dust himself down and draw valuable lessons from the experience.
Kravens Last Hunt should be on Marvel Studios roadmap for the web-slinging superhero simply because it ranks as one of the most definitive Spider-Man stories of all time. Hollands fledgling take on the character would come of age before our eyes after going a few rounds with Kraven.
