Stallone has DEATH WISH

Sly reignites the Michael Winner/Charles Bronson Death Wish franchise.

Having already added the final installments of his Rocky and Rambo sagas to his resume, Sylvester Stallone is now turning his attention to bleeding dry other franchises. Coming Soon reports that Sly will direct and star in a remake of Death Wish for MGM. The script comes from Terminator 3 scribes Michael Ferris and John Brancato and - depending on the length of the the strike - production could start as early as next March. Charles Bronson starred in the original as an architect who becomes a street vigilante after his wife is murdered. The revenge thriller is a pretty worn out as a genre so this remake isn't exactly going to fill many with much enthusiasm. If you are looking for a decent revenge movie then Shane Meadows' Dead Man's Shoes is probably the best to come out in recent times. source - coming soon, variety
