Star Trek 3: 10 Aliens That Have To Appear

1. Klingons

Klingons And so we come to the big bads themselves. Given the set up of events in Star Trek Into Darkness it seems inevitable that a conflict with the Klingons is coming. And personally, I€™m a little divided. On the one hand, the Klingons made a fantastic impression in Star Trek III: The Search For Spock, destroying a Federation star ship, killing Kirk€™s son David and being responsible for the actions that led to the destruction of the Enterprise itself. From the €˜cold-war€™ conflicts of the original series, the Klingon race became a race to be reckoned with (and the Bird of Prey became one of the most badass ships in the Star Trek saga). Of course we never had a full-blown war- the actions of Kirk and his crew of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country put an end to that. So with this new timelines there is a chance to mix things up. In terms of action a full-blown conflict between the Klingons and the Federation would certainly hit that mark. On the other hand, we left the crew of the Enterprise about to embark on their five-year mission of exploration. I want to see where that takes us. Would a war with the Klingons drag us away from that? Or will the Klingons be that menace on the horizon, causing trouble for Kirk and his crew, just as they were back when they first appeared in the first season episode Errand Of Mercy? I€™m hoping for the latter. I want the Klingons reimaged for the big screen once again. But I want Star Trek too. We€™ve got Star Wars returning to cinemas in 2015. Let€™s try something a little different with this franchise? What are your thoughts? Do you want a reimagining of Kirk versus the Gorn? Or Xindi / Khan eugenics war follow up? A remake of the Cage with the original aliens, the Talosians? Or a big screen Q through the classic character Trelane? Perhaps your favourite aliens aren€™t on this list? Perhaps everyone just wants the Borg back? Here€™s a question for you. Borg versus Tribbles. How would that work? What would an assimilated ball of fur do? Or would the sheer number of Tribbles threaten to overwhelm a Borg Cube? borg tribble I€™ll leave you with those thoughts. Please feel free to comment below!
