20. "Well At Least I Won€™t Die Alone€"

For once Bones seems happy to be in the Vulcan's company, as he takes solace in the fact that they're both dead meat together. Yeah, guess again.
Lots of questions here; how is Spock being beamed away when the Enterprise is destroyed? Why isn't Bones taken with him? Is Bones actually about to die? There's an almost perfect "Oh Sh*t" moment that suggests he might.
There is a fairly compelling theory that says this teleportation beam is from an entirely different Enterprise. That would fit in with the idea that Spock ends up meeting his future self from a different timeline: this could be him rescuing him from a known flashpoint in the timeline? Still, leaving Bones is pretty harsh.
