Star Trek: Every Starfleet Starship Class Ranked Worst To Best

57. Hoover

Star Trek Hoover Class
CBS

The Hoover class was in operation in the mid-23rd Century, with the USS Edison taking part in the Battle of the Binary Stars. The primary hull resembled the later Miranda and Nebula class ships, with the rounded front section and angled back, with two nacelles below.

The interiors of the ships resembled the contemporary Crossfield class, even if the exterior was quite different.

The class of ship was named for Bob Hoover. Hoover was a US Air Force pilot who escaped NAZI captivity in a stolen plane, tested supersonic jets and is generally regarded as one of the greatest aviation experts in history.
