9. The Eugenics Wars Are Involved
Let's take a step back from the Cumberbatch rumours, completely disregard whatever his name is and look and what he's doing in the trailer. He appears to have exceptional combat training, not uncommon when creating a character supposed to be a serious threat, but he also appears to be leaping around at an almost superhuman rate. Therefore are the Eugenics Wars involved? Cumberbatch's character could have been genetically engineered to be all-powerful conquering superman. Though perhaps more fitting of a question is have they even happened in Abrams' universe? If so, maybe this lends some credibility to the possibility of Khan appearing in some capacity, but the Eugenics Wars could hypothetically be used as a focal point without using the Khan character at all. Any hint that the Wars have happened, though, keeps Khan hopes alive and that keeps the fans talking.
