2. Kirk & Spock's Friendship

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS In the 2009 film, the future Spock hints at the friendship that eventually develops between Kirk and Spock. At the point in that film, it would appear to be unthinkable because of what transpired between them. However, Kirk and Spock manage to put their differences aside, as they are able to do in most circumstances for the benefit of what is in the best interest of the Enterprise and work with one another. In Star Trek Into Darkness, their partnership is tested immediately in the film and throughout due to Khan and they realize that no matter how often they may clash due to their conflicting ideologies and reasoning that they have formed a strong bond with one another because of how similar they are in regards to being a leader for the Enterprise. Their friendship is formed due to their mutual respect for one another and they show why they are both leaders through their choices.
